Christopher Garrett, a combat engineer in the US Army's 10th Mountain Division, was shot in the stomach while serving in Afghanistan and became disabled as a result. Even though he struggled with physical and emotional scars, he tried his best to adjust to normal life with his wife, Brittany, and their young son. Brittany found him crying with their son one day and feared the worst, but he had tears of joy because he successfully cut their lawn using an old push lawnmower. Christopher proved that he wouldn't let his injuries hold him back and inspired others with his determination.
