The body of NYPD Officer Anastasios Tsakos, who was killed in a hit-and-run incident while on duty, is returning to New York. The 43-year-old officer and father of two served with the department for 14 years and was an essential worker during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was also a member of the Army National Guard and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2013. His sacrifice is being mourned by his family, colleagues, and community as they prepare to lay him to rest.
